Everything You Need to Hear Your Master.

Master Meter Plus is a mastering-grade metering suite for Ableton Live. Six analysis panels — loudness, levels, spectral balance, spectral heatmap, sound field, and streaming penalty — all in one device, with a pop-out floating window for full-size monitoring.

ITU-R BS.1770 compliant.

All-In-One

LUFS, True Peak, RMS, Tonal Balance, Spectral Heatmap, Sound Field, Correlation, L/R Balance, and Loudness Penalty — no need to stack five different metering plugins.

Pop-Out Window

Click once to open a floating window with all six panels at full size. Stays on top while Ableton is in focus — like a dedicated hardware meter.

M4L Native

No external plugins, no routing workarounds. Runs inside Ableton with zero latency and zero configuration.

Six panels of mastering-grade analysis.

Panels

1 — Loudness History

A scrolling timeline of Momentary and Short-term LUFS, with dashed reference lines for your target platform. Click to switch to Waveform History — a symmetric peak envelope view of your audio over time.

2 — Loudness Readouts

All the numbers that matter:

  • Integrated LUFS — the headline number streaming platforms use
  • Momentary LUFS — 400ms window, real-time
  • Short-term LUFS — 3s window, smoothed
  • Momentary Max — highest M LUFS since last reset
  • True Peak — ITU-R BS.1770-5, 4× oversampled, dBTP
  • LRA — loudness range in LU

3 — Loudness Penalty

See the estimated volume adjustment each streaming platform will apply — Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, Deezer, and Tidal. Updated in real time from your Integrated LUFS. These are guideline estimates based on published platform targets, not exact predictions of each service's internal normalization algorithm.

4 — Levels

Dual L/R meters showing Peak and RMS simultaneously. Peak bars with hold, RMS bars beneath. Center scale with tick marks from 0 to −∞. Instant visual confirmation that your levels are where they should be.

5 — Spectral Balance / Spectral Heatmap

Four-band tonal balance display (30–250 / 250–2k / 2k–8k / 8k–20k) with fast and slow curves, plus deviation readouts. Click to toggle a real-time Spectral Heatmap — a scrolling time-frequency waterfall showing your full spectral content over time.

6 — Sound Field

Stereo phase visualization in two modes:

  • Diamond — classic Lissajous goniometer with heat-mapped energy density
  • Polar — half-circle polar plot with peak envelope

Both include an L/R balance indicator and a Correlation meter (+1 to −1) with phase warning.

Click to switch between views.
